Student

b.a.y. fund students:

Every spring, twenty-four 7th grade students are chosen from two of San Francisco’s lower performing middle schools – Horace Mann Academic Middle School in the Mission and Enola Maxwell Middle School of the Arts on Potrero Hill – to become b.a.y. fund students.

All of these young people will be the first in their families to graduate from college. Some will be the first to graduate from high school. Students were chosen after a rigorous application process that included a day-long
Discovery Day where they took part in a number of small group activities and were interviewed by community members.

b.a.y. fund students have the desire and will to succeed.
